Turns a phone, tablet or laptop screen into a light source by filling it with a bright, solid colour — no app install needed, useful whenever a real flashlight isn't at hand but a screen is.
Colour temperature and brightness
Pure white gives the maximum light output, since it fills all three colour channels of the display at full intensity. Warm white uses a slightly amber-shifted tone that's less harsh in a dark room at night — closer to a lamp's colour than a phone screen's usual cool white, which matters if the light needs to be looked at directly or used near someone trying to sleep.
Fullscreen and strobe
Fullscreen removes browser chrome so the entire screen becomes the light-emitting surface rather than just the content area — a meaningfully larger and brighter surface than the page viewed normally. Strobe mode flashes on and off rather than staying lit, useful for visibility and signalling in the dark, though the actual brightness ceiling is still set by the device's own screen backlight, which this page doesn't control directly — turning up the device's own brightness setting alongside this tool gives the strongest result.
