Word Frequency Counter

See which words appear most often in any text, with counts and percentages. Optional stop-word filtering and CSV export.

How to use it

  • Paste your text — the ranked table builds instantly.
  • Turn on stop words to hide 'the', 'and', 'of' and friends.
  • Export to CSV to keep the results.

Ranks every word in a block of text by how often it appears, with counts and percentages, and an optional CSV export for keeping or further analysing the results.

Stop-word filtering

Without filtering, the top of almost any frequency table in English is dominated by 'the', 'and', 'of', 'a' and similar function words, which says nothing meaningful about the content. Turning on stop-word filtering removes that common list so the ranking surfaces the words that actually characterise the text — useful for spotting an SEO page's real keyword focus, a document's recurring themes, or a speech's most-repeated phrases.

What this is used for

  • Checking keyword density and repetition in SEO copy before publishing.
  • Spotting overused words in a long piece of writing that a normal read-through misses.
  • Quick, informal text analysis — the most common terms in survey responses, reviews or transcripts.
  • Building a rough vocabulary or word list from a body of text.
