CPS Test
Measure how many times you can click per second over 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds, with your personal best saved in this browser.
How to use it
- Choose a test length, then click the panel to start — the first click starts the timer.
- Keep clicking until the countdown reaches zero.
- Your best score for each length is remembered on this device.
Examples
| 35 clicks in 5 seconds | 7 CPS |
| 60 clicks in 10 seconds | 6 CPS |
Clicks per second is exactly what it sounds like — the number of times you click a panel divided by the length of the test, run over your choice of 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds. Your best result at each length is remembered on this device, so repeated runs build a genuine personal-best record rather than starting from zero every time.
What the numbers mean
Around 6 to 7 clicks per second is typical for an ordinary, deliberate click using one finger. Scores climbing above 10 usually indicate a technique rather than raw speed — butterfly clicking, which alternates two fingers on the same button, or drag clicking, which drags a finger across the button edge to trigger rapid repeat clicks through the mouse switch's mechanical bounce.
Shorter tests tend to produce higher peak CPS, since a short, explosive burst is easier to sustain than the same rate for a full minute — comparing scores across different test lengths is not a fair like-for-like comparison.
Questions people ask
What counts as a good CPS?
Around 6 to 7 is typical for a normal click. Above 10 usually means a technique like butterfly or drag clicking rather than ordinary pressing.
Is my score sent anywhere?
No. There is no leaderboard and no account. Your best is stored in this browser and nowhere else.
Is anything uploaded or stored on a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Anything that persists is kept in this browser's local storage on your own device.
