This is the software version of the handheld electronic counters sold for stocktaking and door counts — the ones with a small LED readout and a chunky button. The difference is the display: a phone or laptop screen is far larger than any handheld unit, so the number can be read from across a room rather than at arm's length.

Using it as a display board

Full screen turns the page into a dedicated readout with nothing else on it — no browser chrome, no page furniture, just the number filling the screen. On a laptop, a tablet propped on a counter, or a TV with a browser, that's a live tally board that a room full of people can read.

The dark background is the default here for a reason: on a large screen a white background at full brightness is genuinely uncomfortable to look at for a long stretch, and a light number on a dark field stays legible at a distance without the glare.

How large does the number get?

It scales with the screen — in full screen on a monitor it fills most of the display, which is readable from across a normal room.

Can I change the colours?

Yes, twelve background colours under Settings, each with a matching high-contrast number colour.

Can it count down?

Yes — the countdown counter starts at your maximum and works down to zero.
